The SIU Carbondale chapter of the State Universities Annuitants Association invites current SUAA members, retirees, annuitants, and those interested in learning more about SUAA to attend the upcoming General Membership Meeting and Reception. This gathering is an opportunity to connect with fellow members, meet chapter leadership, learn more about SUAA’s current priorities, and hear how the organization continues to advocate for and support annuitants and university employees. There is no cost to attend this program.
Guests and potential members are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and learn more about the benefits of being involved with SUAA at both the local and state levels. Attendees will also hear directly from our guest speaker, Bryan Soady, Executive Director of the statewide SUAA organization. Bryan will provide insight into where things stand on Tier II and other current issues impacting retirees and current university and community college employees. The reception will also provide time for informal conversation, feedback, and ideas that can help guide the continued work of the SIU Carbondale chapter.
