When he joined the Fighting Illini, Kam became the first specialist in name, image, and likeness (NIL) law among Power Four schools. He has played a key role in shaping the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics’ approach to student-athlete compensation, governance, commercial partnerships, and other strategic initiatives. Kam will discuss NIL-related developments, share insights on how NIL is impacting Illinois, and explore what these changes mean for the future of college athletics.
A reception will begin at 2:30 p.m., followed by the presentation at 3:00 p.m. A brief business meeting will take place immediately after the program.
